Interactive TV
Our multimedia platform, can be integrated with many different interactive TV and mobile TV video formats, allowing you to provide a full range of interactive voice and streaming video services to your customers.
It is used to stream live or pre-recorded TV feeds directly to a mobile (video to mobile) phone because it compresses and resizes these feeds so they are suitable for small screen sizes. Horse racing fans, for example are able to watch live races on their phones, simply by video calling a specified number, and the content is streamed to their phones in real-time.
Reality TV also has to adhere to strict regulatory guidelines and our multimedia solution achieves this and is capable of terminating tens of thousands of simultaneous calls generated by participation TV. It comprises sophisticated databases that store the details of all callers to a TV show, and complex reporting facilities that can generate accurate results to a competition within minutes of it closing.

User generated content for TV
Our TV for mobile system allows us to receive “live” user generated content from multiple sources, (3G device, video phone or PC), and include this on interactive TV shows in real-time.
Possible services include: citizen journalism, live interviews, karaoke TV, sport, participation TV and UGC for social networking. The SeTeCa solution displays all incoming video calls on a PC screen in a series of mini windows simultaneously. Production teams are then able to analyze the calls for suitability and the quality and transfer them “live” to the TV show, if they meet the relevant criteria. They can also speak to individual callers, for additional interactivity simply by pressing a “talk” button.
Our platfrom accepts the incoming video calls in 3G or SIP formats and converts them to suitable SDI broadcast formats in real-time. The solution can also store the calls or forward them to third party broadcast technologies, where they may be edited and included in the programme at a later stage.
i3's multimedia management system is scalable and can be expanded to provide as many lines, (or channels), as necessary to receive these incoming video calls. We also support interactive voice and text services from the same core infrastructure.
